I think out of all the characters, Voldemort is the most tragic. His mother kept giving his dad love potions and eventually had Voldemort. There’s no real consent; he was not born out of love he was born out of rape. His mother basically raped his father, since he would not otherwise agree to have sex with her unless under the influence of something. He was put in an orphanage, which frankly can be far worse than living with the Dursleys. That little boy never stood a chance.

Tom Riddle-Voldemort/Hermione Granger is my OTP.
No one understands me, but I can’t see anyone else with Hermione.
I know that if they had really met under the same era, they would’ve understood each other (no defeat-troll-in-the-bathroom included).

And while I wish we knew more about Voldemort’s life, I don’t wanna know anything about her. I don’t care.

I understand that’s not solely why Voldemort is the way he is, but Jo herself said it was symbolically important.
