I honestly love how in the Harry Potter series, the main character didn’t get with the sidekick of the opposite sex. I almost always prefer that in fandoms. I love that Ron and Hermione end up together and Harry finds love with Ginny. Ron gets loved from the brightest witch of their age and Harry finally gets to be part of the family that always accepted him. It’s perfect.

I think my favorite part of this whole scene is the face she makes afterward. It expresses so many emotions that she should be feeling. That’s hard to convey. Emma Watson definitely earned more respect from me as an actress in that moment.
It bugs me when people say that they wish that Ron and Hermione should have just stayed friends. to me at least, they never really were that great of friends. They were either fighting or flirting, and I think that if Harry wasn’t there they didn’t love each other, then they wouldn’t work as just friends.
I really do like them as a couple, though.
I remember that day clearly. we were watching the end first movie and I was on the 3rd book. I told my friend the Harry and Hermione were really cute together and I hope they end up together. And she tells me ron and hermione do. I was shocked. I loved watching their feeling grow through the books, but I knew what would happen. She’s still my best friend, but I won’t ever forgive her.
I wish I could find a guy to look at me like Ron looks at Hermione.
