harry potter confessions.

"You always see a lot of Snape, because he is a gift of a character. I hesitate to say that I love him. [Audience member: I do]. You do? This is a very worrying thing. Are you thinking about Alan Rickman or about Snape? [Laughter]. Isn’t this life, though? I make this hero—Harry, obviously—and there he is on the screen, the perfect Harry, because Dan is very much as I imagine Harry, but who does every girl under the age of 15 fall in love with? Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy. Girls, stop going for the bad guy. Go for a nice man in the first place. It took me 35 years to learn that, but I am giving you that nugget free, right now, at the beginning of your love lives."

It makes me cry when Aberforth says “Do yourself a favor boy, go home. Live a little longer.” That’s all that Harry’s trying to do. Hogwarts is his home.

The films are just adaptations, they’re not the magical world that Rowling create. This fandom tends to focus to much on the films and that’s so wrong. I’ve read the books so many times and it’s incredible. They show me that fantastic world so much better than the films.

In case you can’t see it:“I’m turning twenty-one very soon…
But I never fail to tear up or cry when I see the words “So whether you come by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you back home.”
I’ve loved Harry Potter since I was eight years-old. My family can’t just expect me to “get over it” after so long.
I’ll always love Harry Potter.
Always.”

“I don’t believe in magic in the way I describe it in my books. I mean, I don’t believe in the wand waving sort of magic. But I’d like to… I’d love it to be real… And the starting point for the whole of Harry’s world is ‘what if it WAS real?’ And I work from there.
It really is enlightening to hear that J.K wishes her magical and wonderous world to be real as much as we potterheads do

Every single time I watch DH2 I bawl my eyes out when McGonagall calls the statues down and tells them “Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries, protect us, do your duty to our school!”

As an identical twin, I think that J.K. Rowling really captured the experience of living without your twin perfectly when she said, “I don’t think that George would ever get over losing Fred.” It’s so true. I would never get over losing my twin - she’s part of who I am.
