Yes, she wasn’t as bright and bubbly as she was in OotP during HBP, but she wasn’t letting it get in the way of her job as an Auror/Order member. She was growing up, just like the rest of the younger people in HP, and by interpreting her depression as only being caused by unrequited love, it overlooks the impact the war had on her as a novice soldier fighting in the front lines.

It especially annoys me when they say that they wish someone else had died because it would have “meant more” or “made sense” and that their deaths were “unnecessary”. That’s the whole point of their deaths. Death in war is often random and unnecessary and that’s the tragedy of it whether you like it or not, it happens. They were innocent and they died for the cause. Don’t be sad for them, they were brave.
