Three of my friends are Gryffindors. Three are Ravenclawes. Three are Hufflepuffs. I am the only Slytherin.
And I couldn’t be happier with my group of friends.

All the Potterheads I know in real life are Slytherins and feel very strongly about it. I’m the only Hufflepuff in our group. I can’t help but think they think differently about me.

No one is born as great as they are going to be.  No amount of talent can replace study and practice”

An incredibly smart essay (it’s not that long but I dont have a better word) about hufflepuff traits and how people are talented because of the work they put into their talent. Great read for members of any house, even if you disagree with some of it.

excerpts:

“Helga Hufflepuff vowed not to show favouritism. The other founders each had a virtue they prized best: essentially, they were being honest about which students they would give preferential treatment, while Hufflepuff wanted to see how everyone would work on an even playing field.”

“Hermione isn’t a Gryffindor for her courage (which is considerable), but because she believes courage is more important than any other virtue.

“What this means is that every single person in Hufflepuff, regardless of their brains or heart or silver tongue, believes that the virtues they were born with are less important than the work they are willing to put in.”

“Brains aren’t much without the patience to fill them with knowledge.  Ambition without dedication is daydreams and an overblown sense of entitlement.  People from Maya Angelou to Aristotle have said that courage is the virtue that ensures all others – but it seems to me that, without the drive to keep pushing, no one ever gets a chance to display the rest of their virtues anyway.”

The reason I was scared of being a Hufflepuff was because i’m SO AFRAID of badgers.
I can not stand them, and maybe that’s why I can not stand the thought of being a hufflepuff..

No offense to Hufflepuff but Slytherin is just such a bad boy and I kind of love them for that <3
