Thank you JKR for opening the world of books up and pulling me in….

“I was 12 years old when the first movie came to the big screen. Right before that, Train’s album “Drops of Jupiter” was also released, and the day before I saw the film, I had bought that album and listened to it a thousand times. To this day, every time I hear music from that CD or watch the first film, I think of the connection between movie and music. Particularly, “Get Away” and “Mississippi” ring in my head when I see the scenery of Hogwarts or whatever from film one, and I’ve never been able to break that connection in my head, and I often wonder if I’m the only one, or if there are others who experience this too.”

I waited till after I saw the first two movies to start reading The Philosopher’s Stone. That is my biggest regret in life. I wish I had started sooner.

The first film will always be my favourite of the series. I was eleven when it came out and I’ll never forget the first time I saw it. I thought everything about it, from the casting to the special effects, was just perfect and exactly how I’d imagined it to be when I read the book. None of my opinions have changed, over ten years later.
