Don’t get me wrong, i love the hp movies. But when i say i want a book to turn into a movie, i want a detailed description of what they do every day and not cut out important things. Like all the quidditch games, and Lilly and Snape’s story. It upsets me.
The fact of the matter is, after the third Potter musical it helped me finally be “over” it. It always gets me my Harry fix whenever I don’t have the time to read the book. The movies make me upset due to its glaring errors that are consistently glazed over, while the musical(s) errors are made to make a specific point. Its errors are the cannon of the musical that strengthen the cannon of the book and reiterate its poignancy. And its really actually hilarious.
I hate how people think that Ron didn’t deserve Hermione or the other way around. They were both brave, amazing people, who both had their own attributes and faults. I think they both deserved to find happiness. And they did, with each other.
I have no idea how a 12 year old boy who could beat Minerva McGonagall’s chess game while in a life-and-death situation could spend the next six years not showing any other sign of extraordinary talent or intellect. While Ron is indubitably brave and loyal, there doesn’t seem to be any real reason why he should be less talented or intelligent than Harry and Hermione, or even his brothers.
I wish I could delete them from my memory and start all over again <3 When I was at my lowest, Harry got me through :)
