harry potter confessions.

I like to think of other fans like a huge family. One Harry Potter loving family. We argue over small stuff. Like who should have ended up with who. Or you aren’t a true fan unless you’ve read the books. But I don’t think that matters. Or who should have played who. Of course people are going to argue and disagree. That’s what keeps the fandom alive, everybody has different opinions. Like fanfiction, some think something could have happened while others think different, so they wrote this made-up story on what they think.  Some people say Harry should have died; it was too good of a happy ending. Some think Ron wasn’t good enough for Hermione.  Some don’t get why Fred or Lupin died. But to JK Rowling, it all made sense.  She wrote what she wanted to. And I agree with her. These are my favorite books, and though there are some things I don’t like, I wouldn’t change them. I think everything happened for a reason in the books. People died because in real war people die. Harry lived because he killed Voldemort. Ron ended up with Hermione because they loved each other. If you are one of those people who would change everything about the books or movies, you’re out of luck. Unless you can go back in time and change what happened. You can’t go back and make sure that actor didn’t get that role or tell JK Rowling not to write that, you’re stuck with what you’ve got.  If all you’re going to do is complain about what happened, just put down the series. Move on. Read another book or watch other movies.  There are still those out there in the fandom that love the series just the way it is.
