I waited in line six hours for the midnight premiere of the second half of the Deathly Hallows and wasn’t able to fall asleep again until the next morning.

In light of all the stupidly negative asks you've been getting, I'd just like to say that this is one of my favourite blogs and everything is done really beautifully and some people are idiots so ignore the negativity!

Thank you, thank you <3

I think that Fred gets way more likes than George. George deserves an equal treatment.

I was just, responding to the ask that I saw you answer on my dash. It was then that I actually clicked on your page to see just how deep this issue went. I see you've already mentioned the America thing. But no still, everyone should just get off you man. It is false, it was not published for the first time in 98. And I'm certain Rowling didn't write that line thinking 'FOR THE AMERICANS!!' Proceed to blog. I like it here.

This, mayn. I mean I’m just going to erase the rest and leave the statement as is, because that was a while ago anyway and those posts aren’t still swirling around SO NO ONE EVEN KNOWS WTF ITS IN REFERENCE TO and isn’t caring to learn. So whatever.

but i just got this from anon too;

People argue with you because you post your personal interpretations as facts. You are not the voice of authority on Harry Potter. This isn’t even your personal blog, but you act like it is. Then you’re surprised when people get upset with you. Stop treating this like your personal blog and your opinion is the only one that matters and people will stop calling you out on things.

lol whut. what personal interpretations pray tell? Telling people philosophers stone was published in 97 isn’t an interpretation. its a fact.  all of these rumours were sent in by followers asking if they were true. I complied proof to reply to them, got asked a million more times about the same things and thus the rumours page was born.

there is nothing ‘personal’ about it. and, for the millionth time, if they aren’t correct LITERALLY ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is send me the counter proof. and it’s done.

would totally understand all this if it WERE a matter of opinion. but this is seriously over when freakin philosophers stone was published.

so discussion over, not gonna talk about it anymore. I apologize profusely for clogging up everyones dash with this crap

Anonymous murmured:

But what about the fact that a lot of DH takes place in 1997, wouldn't it still make open at the close correct?

literally the statement thats being disputed on the rumor page is

  • Philosophers Stone was published in 1998, the year that the war ended in the Deathly Hallows
like its right there. listed right there on the bullets. why are people arguing with me about it? Philosophers stone was published in 1997. That makes the statement 100% false. The end. There is no room for debate.

Anyway that was not directed at you, particular anon who’s ask I’m answering, but I had four much more rude anons whos messages i just deleted earlier because they made me mad. xD
In response to you, my answer is: perhaps. Thats really a personal thing, if you want to use it like that then by all means, as i said before no one is stopping anyone. But the thing on the rumours page is in reference to all those posts we had a while ago where people were saying the end of the war corresponded to the date of the first books publication.
And while it is true that the war was happening during most of 1997 it is NOT true that the war ended in may of 98 a month or so before the first book came out. Which is what 99.9% of people who use the ‘i open at the close’ and ‘we’ve come full circle’ thing are talking about. And i mean, technically it’s also true that the war was happening since 1995 when voldemort gained his body back…
But in any case, all comments under this topic on the rumour page are in response to that statement posted in the bullets.
no idea why this has become an issue D=

I don’t think McGonagall gets the credit she deserves. She is, after all, our McBadass.

I always here Potterheads saying that Alan Rickman  played the perfect Snape. I couldn’t agree more. But Maggie Smith does’t get the credit she deserves. She played McGonagall to perfection.
