My friend struggles hard to read and cant afford the harry potter books so every night over Skype I’ll read him a chapter of Harry Potter every night just before he goes to bed. We are on book 2 chapter 4.
his favourite character is Neville Longbottom

(and i took a total of 4 planes and went to 3 different airports on my trip there and back home.)

I think the A Very Potter Musicals are more entertaining than the real Harry Potter movies.

When I read Harry Potter for the first time, I was in a juvenile detention facility and thirteen years old. I spent the rest of my teens on and off probation and I can’t say that reading the books helped me become a better person, but they were there for me through the years when things were at their worst. When I was at my worst. They helped me when I couldn’t help myself.
AVPM aka A Very Potter Musical (and it’s sequels) are parody musicals based around the books and the fandom. They can all be found on YouTube. It was made as a parody/homage to the books, films and fandom by StarKids Theatre Group.

I wish they would have done more with house elves in general as well. I loved the S.P.E.W. storyline.

I don’t usually like admitting this because it seems like such a petty thing to get upset over. But it’s irritating.

James Potter is supposed to have raven black hair, like Harry, and even though Daniel has dark brown hair, I’ve recovered from that oversight. But for them to give young Severus a nicely pressed suit and sleek, beautiful black hair when we all know he had a cruddy childhood and then portray James Potter, the rich, handsome pureblood with loving parents as a blonde with a bad haircut, it really gets under my skin. I think its insulting to his character for them to have spent so much time on Lily and Snape and just throw any old kid in there to play James. He didn’t even have any lines and I cannot begin to assume that there was not a single brunette male in the pickings for this role.
